  • Ontario Early Years Centres Places where parents and caregivers can take part with their children in a range of programs and activities, get information and talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community.

 

All Ages

 

  • Canadian Parents Information on everything from family finances to the top ten baby names to current recalls and alerts for consumers. There are numerous chat groups for parents as well as information for parents-to-be.
  • Child and Family Canada Library Browse or search their online library of short articles and tip sheets on a variety of parenting topics. Contributions are made by 50 Canadian non-profit organizations.
  • Children's Information Portal This portal brings together information about all the children and youth programs and services provided by the Government of Ontario. Browse by age group, activity, special need, or search by keyword. Coverage from prenatal to 18 years of age.
  • Parentbooks Offers a comprehensive list of resources on parenting, from planning a family to everyday parenting issues to special needs of all kinds.
  • Today's Parent A site created by Today's Parent magazine, full of great information for parents. The Parenting Forum and Hot Topics pages allow parents to connect with other parents; Steps and Stages and Parenting FAQ provide relevant information. Preconception through the teen years.

  • About Kids Health Provides families with information in easy to understand language. Includes expert columns, the latest in child health research, resource centres on selected medical conditions and animations for kids on various health topics. An initiative of the Hospital for Sick Children.
  • Caring For Kids Developed by the Canadian Paediatric Society to provide parents with information about their child’s health and well-being.
  • Healthy Spaces Recommendations for creating healthier environments for children.
  • Motherisk Your source for evidence-based information about the safety or risk of drugs, chemicals and disease during pregnancy and lactation.
  • Ontario Poison Centre The Ontario Poison Centre provides telephone information and advice about potential or real exposures to poisonous substances. Online the centre provides first aid tips and information about common poisons, poison prevention, seasonal hazards and more.
